Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to join our team. This role requires a strong foundation in labor and postpartum care, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Monitor the health and progress of patients during labor and postpartum recovery.
• Assist in the delivery of newborns and ensure immediate care is provided.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Epic.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Labor and Delivery setting is required.
• Certifications Required: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP.
• Preferred Certifications: AWHONN Advanced.
• Floating: Must be willing to float between like units as needed.

Schedule and Orientation

• Shifts: Night shifts, 3×12-hour format (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
• Orientation: 36 hours of orientation will be provided.
• Block Scheduling: Please note that block scheduling is not available.

Additional Information

• Ratios: The nurse-patient ratio is 1:3.
• Local Candidates: Local candidates will not be considered.
• Pending Licenses: Pending licenses will not be accepted.
• RTO Restrictions: Requests for time off must be included at the time of submission.
• The facility reserves the ability to call off staff once per two-week pay period.
