Registered Nurse (RN) / Newborn Nursery

The Registered Nurse in the Newborn Nursery is responsible for providing exceptional care to patients during the immediate neonatal phase. This role involves utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in planning and delivering safe care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel in the delivery of patient care.
• Be prepared to float to couplet nurse roles as needed during low census periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including prior travel experience.
• Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effective communication.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and enhancing outcomes.
