Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a critical care environment, delivering high-quality patient care to those in need.

Shift Information

• Schedule: 3×12 hour Days
• Shift Time: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Total Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend (EOW)

Responsibilities

As a PCU RN, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering comprehensive patient care to those with progressive medical conditions.
• Monitoring patient’s vital signs and responding to changes in their condition.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
• Administering medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), or Stepdown Unit.
• Experience with Meditech EMR is highly preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience is highly preferred.
• Current PCU/Stepdown checklist, completed within the past year.
• One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Valid state nursing license.

Please note that only candidates whose permanent address is more than 50 miles from the facility will be considered for this position. Additionally, please limit requests for time off (RTO) to 5 days.
