Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in an acute care float capacity. The successful candidate will support patients and collaborate with various teams to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.

Shift Details

The position includes night shifts, specifically 3×12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. There is potential for block scheduling, although it is not guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer nursing care across multiple units, offering support to Emergency Department (ED) boarders and facilitating transitions to inpatient care as needed.
• Float between different locations, including observation units and medical/surgical units as required.
• Manage pre-cardiac catheterization and port care for patients, ensuring safety and quality of care.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and patient documentation effectively.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience is required.
• Prior travel nursing experience is necessary.
• Must possess an active Kentucky or compact nursing license at time of submission, as well as current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with EPIC charting is required.

• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are mandatory, with exemptions considered for medical or religious reasons.
• Personal appearance guidelines specify that tattoos should not be visible; nose rings and gauged earrings are not permitted.
• Nails must be less than 1/4 inch in length, and associates must maintain natural fingernails, with acceptable polish.
• No cafeteria services are available; a refrigerator and microwave are provided on-site.
• Parking is complimentary in any unrestricted space.
• Scrubs must be navy blue and free of any agency or brand logos.
