Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional care to patients in a stepdown unit, with potential for floating to other units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the stepdown unit, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly and effectively.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Shifts

This position requires rotating shifts of night and day, with a standard schedule of 7pm to 7:30am and 7am to 7:30pm. Flexibility is required to meet operational needs, including the possibility of shift rotation.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for.
• Valid Ohio nursing license or Compact State license required.
• Current certifications in AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are prerequisites.
• Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation, achieving acceptable scores.

Additional Requirements

• Must work at least every other holiday as part of the commitment to team and patient care.
