Assisted Living Caregiver

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Assisted Living Caregivers. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to residents in an assisted living environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance to residents including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist with daily living activities, ensuring comfort and safety for all residents.
• Monitor residents’ health and report any changes to nursing staff.
• Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation in recreational programs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records using Point Click Care charting system.

Shift Details

This position offers a variable schedule with shifts during the day and evening. The available hours are:

• 6:30 am – 3:00 pm
• 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm

Patient Population

The caregiver will be working with a diverse patient population consisting of:

• 32 residents in the general Assisted Living unit
• 8 residents in a Memory Care Unit (totaling 40 beds)

Patient Ratio

The expected patient care ratio is 1 caregiver to 16 residents.

Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Previous experience in assisted living or caregiving preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Compassionate nature and commitment to providing excellent care.

Housing

On-site housing options may be available upon request, depending on availability. Typically, housing consists of an apartment within the Assisted Living facility, with costs subject to confirmation.
