NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated NICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires a passionate professional ready to deliver excellent care in a supportive environment.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 3×12 or 4×12 nights
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Ratios: 1:3
• Weekend Requirements: Yes (unless schedule states otherwise)
• Floating: Within the hospital, but not to sister hospitals

Responsibilities

The NICU RN will:

• Provide specialized care for newborns in a Level 2 nursery setting.
• Attend hi-risk deliveries as a baby nurse during vaginal and cesarean sections when the nursery is not open.
• Utilize CPAP and high-flow experience, as well as IV start skills effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in NICU is required.
• Certifications: BLS and NRP certification is mandatory.
• Skills: Newborn resuscitation skills and experience attending high-risk deliveries.
• First-time travelers are accepted. Local candidates are welcome to apply.
• We do not accept pending licenses.

Special Notes

• This position is in a labor, delivery, and recovery (LDR) unit with 6 beds.
• Guaranteed hours are provided, but healthcare providers may be called off or placed on-call during low census periods.
• The total staffed beds at the facility is 281, and it is recognized as a Magnet and Teaching Center.
