Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated healthcare team and contribute to the health and wellness of the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• May float to other Med Surg units as needed.

• Number of Beds: 12
• Patient Ratios: 6:1
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Med Surg nursing
• Preferred Skillset: 2+ years of experience in Med Surg
• Education: Current RN licensure in the state
• Skills/Attributes: Professional demeanor and strong communication skills

Work Environment

This position requires participation in rotational weekend shifts and may include floating to various Med Surg units as necessary. Dress code is professional scrubs, allowing flexibility in color choice.

Weekly orientation sessions are available to ensure that employees are well-prepared for their roles and responsibilities.
