Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Neuro Acute Unit. This position requires expertise in managing and interpreting telemetry and dysrhythmias, with a focus on neurology and neuroscience care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for neurosurgery, neurology, and epilepsy patients.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data to manage patient care effectively.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Implement care plans for patients with conditions such as traumatic brain injury, strokes, and seizure disorders.
• Perform procedures including IV starts and care for tracheostomy patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; strong neuro experience is preferred for first-time travelers.
• Current BLS and NIH certifications are mandatory.
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma setting is preferred.

Work Schedule

• Shift: Night shifts, 3×12-hour rotations (19:00 – 07:30).
• Every other weekend shift is required; flexibility in scheduling is essential.
• Travelers will be expected to float within their scope to meet facility needs.

Additional Information

• Guaranteed hours, with the possibility of being called off one shift per every two-week pay period.
• Daily onsite parking available with varying costs based on time.
• Offsite parking available with a shuttle service operational during weekdays only.
