Acute Registered Nurse (RN) – Rehab

Position Overview

This position is for an Acute Registered Nurse specializing in inpatient rehabilitation, primarily serving adults and geriatric patients. The nurse will work as part of a dedicated team, providing quality care and support to patients recovering from various conditions.

Unit Information

• Department: Acute Rehabilitation
• Number of Beds: 13
• Patient Ratios: 1 RN to 6 patients
• Equipment: Lift equipment
• EHR System: Meditech

Position Details

• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Guaranteed Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 hours available
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend required
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: May float to MedSurg as needed

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 1-2 years of acute care experience preferred
• Certifications:
  • BLS certification required
  • Mandatory reporter certification for child and adult required
• Skills:
  • Experience in acute care settings, preferably in rehabilitation
  • Experience with common diagnoses such as neuro, trauma, burn, and wound care management
• Titers: Must be current within the last 12 months for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB
• Drug Test: Must pass a 10-panel drug screening including opiates
