Acute Registered Nurse (RN) – Rehabilitation

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Acute Registered Nurse (RN) for our Rehabilitation unit. This position is primarily focused on providing exceptional care to adult patients, emphasizing therapeutic rehabilitation and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the inpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding rehabilitation processes.
• Document all patient care activities in the electronic health record accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Experience in rehabilitation nursing or related specialties preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 13
• Patient Ratios: 1 RN to 6 patients
• Equipment: Lift equipment available for patient handling
• EHR: Meditech

Additional Information

• This position requires working alternating weekends.
• Mandatory reporter certification for both child and adult abuse is required.
• A comprehensive background check is required prior to starting the position.
• Titers for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB must be current within the last 12 months.
