Acute Registered Nurse (RN) – Rehabilitation

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Acute Registered Nurse to work in the Rehabilitation unit. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care and supporting individuals on their road to recovery. The position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Unit Information

• Department: Acute Rehabilitation
• Number of Beds: 13
• Patient Ratios: 1 RN to 6 patients
• Electronic Health Record: Meditech

Position Details

• Shift: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Float Requirements: MedSurg as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience
• BLS certification
• Mandatory reporter certification for child and adult abuse
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in travel nursing (preferred but not required)
• Experience in MedSurg, Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC), or similar environments

Common Patient Diagnoses

• Neurological conditions
• Trauma care
• Burn rehabilitation
• Gait training and strengthening
• Wound care (including wound vac therapy)

Onboarding Requirements

• Criminal background check, including child abuse portion
• 10-panel drug screening (including opiates)
• Required immunization titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) must be current within the last 12 months
