Cath Lab Technologist

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will work in the Cardiac Cath Lab, providing critical support during cardiac procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in performing various cardiac procedures, including coronary, vascular, peripheral, electrophysiology, general interventional radiology, and neuro interventions.
• Work collaboratively with a team of technologists and registered nurses, ensuring seamless operations during procedures.
• Monitor hemodynamics and support procedural processes.
• Administer conscious and moderate sedation as per protocol.
• Manage patients’ airways and administer cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors.
• Participate in the rotation of on-call duties for inpatient and emergency cases.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, utilizing a provided radiation badge.
• Follow assignments as determined by the Lead Technologist in relation to room setups for procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current Cath Lab experience required.
• Valid certifications including ARRT, BLS Certification, and Fluoroscopy. RCIS or CCT certifications will not be accepted.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with varying caseloads of 10-22 cases per day.
• Must be comfortable working with conscious and moderate sedation, as well as procedural processes.

Work Schedule

This position requires a shift of 4 days per week, specifically during daytime hours. Weekend call responsibilities will occur from Friday evening through Monday morning, subject to change based on unit needs.

Important Notes

• Must be adaptable to float to different areas as needed.
• Participation in weekend call and rotation for inpatient and emergent cases is required.
