Medical Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical and Telemetry for a night shift position. This role will require a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the medical surgical and telemetry units.
• Monitor patient vitals and deliver appropriate interventions based on assessment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and implement patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using the EMR system (MEDHOST).
• Float to various units as needed to meet patient care requirements.

Qualifications

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a Medical Surgical, Telemetry, or Wound Care setting.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to fluctuating patient needs.

Work Schedule

This is a night shift position from 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM, with a varied schedule requiring availability for 6 consecutive days followed by 8 days off. Candidates should be prepared for potential 48-hour shifts and floating as necessary.

Additional Information

• Patient-to-nurse ratio is 6:1.
• Scrubs should be dark navy blue.
• RTO blackout period is from December 24 to December 25.
• Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
