Critical Care Float Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our critical care float pool. This role involves providing nursing care across multiple units, including the Emergency Department, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU.

Position Details

• Floating: This is a float pool position with nurse-to-patient ratios up to 1:6 in Medical Surgical.
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend availability is required.
• On-Call: No on-call responsibilities.
• Schedule Flexibility: Candidates must be flexible with scheduling as block schedule requests will not be accommodated.

Minimum Experience

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• The unit is open to first-time travelers.

Aya Offer

Upon signing and confirmation, the manager will review the candidate’s profile and confirm unit/schedule/expertise fit within 48 hours. Aya offers are contingent upon clinical completion per established guidelines.

RTO Guidelines

There is a maximum of 7 days for return-to-organization (RTO) requests.

Holiday Requirements

Travelers are expected to work the following major holidays if they fall within their assignment period:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

If one major holiday occurs, the traveler must work it. If more than one holiday occurs, the expectation is to work two out of three holidays.

Compliance Requirements

Full compliance with all requirements is necessary to start on time. Failure to meet compliance deadlines may result in a two-week delay due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Additional Information

Local candidates are welcome to apply and will receive the same rate. The number of non-billable orientation hours will be determined by the length of assignment.
