Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our dynamic team. This position involves caring for a diverse patient population across all age groups, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
• Manage and prioritize patient care based on acuity and needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as per established protocols.
• Utilize the Omnicell medication system for accurate medication management.
• Document patient care activities using Cerner documentation system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Shift Details

• Type: Night Shift
• Schedule: 3×12 hours (19:00 – 07:00)
• Weekend Coverage: Every other Friday and Saturday night

Patient Statistics

• Average Daily Census: 130-150 patients
• Total Rooms: 21
• Total Beds: 31

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers with 2-3 years of experience will be considered.
• Experience with Epic or Cerner preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required.

Orientation

An orientation period of 36-48 hours will be provided to ensure you are equipped to succeed in this role. Scrubs will be provided for your convenience.
