Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. This position requires a skilled professional ready to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to patients on the medical/surgical telemetry unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Document patient information and care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in unit meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of experience in medical/surgical telemetry.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH.
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Must be able to work weekends, with a requirement of every other weekend.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

• Shift: Night shifts, 3×12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00).
• Guaranteed hours based on contracted shifts with a call-off policy in place.
• Locals are not accepted due to a 50-mile radius rule.
• RTO restrictions are at the manager’s discretion.
• Return staff policy: Must be away for 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• System contract limit: 2 contracts (can only extend once) with a 6-month wait before returning.
