Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including observation patients, respiratory conditions, general medical-surgical diagnoses, palliative care, and psychiatric observation. The role requires a strong ability to manage various health conditions effectively.

Schedule

• Shift: Night 3×12 (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every Other Weekend (EOW) and Holidays as needed
• Float required if necessary across all facilities

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with respiratory issues, general medical-surgical conditions, and diabetes management.
• Provide care to surgical patients and those requiring end-of-life and hospice care.
• Monitor and assess patient health status and deliver appropriate interventions.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records utilizing EPIC.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Candidates must pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
• Previous Charge RN experience is preferred.

Patient Population

The ideal candidate will be expected to support a patient population that includes:

• Observation patients
• Patients with respiratory conditions
• General Medical-Surgical Diagnoses
• Palliative, End of Life, and Hospice patients
• Psychiatric Observation patients
• Diabetes management, including new diabetics and those with complications
• Surgical patients and those requiring surgical observation
