Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. This role includes the potential to float to various units to care for a similar patient population as needed.

Shift Information

• Rotating shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM and 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Shifts may be adjusted to meet the operational needs of the organization, though we will strive to accommodate traveler preferences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients within the Med/Surg Tele unit.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding health conditions and care plans.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing education and training, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty area.
• A valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license is required.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is mandatory.
• Ability to work at least every other holiday.

Additional Information

Successful candidates will undergo an orientation that includes an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment. Acceptable scores on both assessments are required to continue in the role.
