Registered Nurse (RN) – Children’s ER

Role Overview: This position involves providing exceptional patient care by utilizing nursing knowledge and skills throughout the nursing process. The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring individualized patient outcomes across the entire care episode, delivering comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, along with their families and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat health responses in patients and their families.
• Deliver optimal patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Demonstrate understanding of the cognitive and psychosocial needs specific to the population served.
• Meet quality standards as measured by unit/department age-specific competency standards.
• Involve family members or significant others in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation processes when possible.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as required.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a Pediatric Emergency Room (ER).
• Demonstrated excellent documentation skills.
• Strong patient and family interaction skills, exhibiting compassion and quality care.
• Comfort with pediatric resuscitation and care for critically ill children.

Additional Information:

Candidates may be required to float to various areas based on organizational needs while remaining within competency levels. Participation in additional shifts may be expected during the scheduling period. The organization reserves the right to adjust shifts based on low census without penalty within specific contract timeframes, which may involve both full and partial shifts. Scheduling flexibility should include the potential for weekends and holidays.
