X-Ray and Computed Tomography Technologist

Located in beautiful Northern California, this facility has been a leading healthcare provider in Lake County since 1968. It is comprised of a 25-bed critical access hospital and provides primary and specialty care services at various clinics throughout the area. Job Summary

The X-Ray and Computed Tomography Technologist is responsible for operating x-ray and computed tomography equipment. This role assists in achieving departmental objectives and helps create an environment that enables the medical imaging department to meet its operational goals. The technologist will regularly perform at least two modalities.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology: Required
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (some certifications may require a Bachelor’s): Preferred
• Master’s Degree: Preferred
• Three years of technical experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
• Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification in the state of practice: Required
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification: Required
• Certification in two additional advanced modalities (Computed Tomography, Mammography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or Sonography): Preferred

Essential Functions

• Perform various radiographic and computed tomography procedures consistent with experience.
• Competently operate two modalities.
• Safely transport and transfer patients between gurneys and wheelchairs.
• Test defibrillator and check the integrity of crash cart.
• Perform mobile imaging examinations (radiographic and fluoroscopic) as necessary.
• Safely prepare contrast agents for medical imaging procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Schedule

Full-time position with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts, Friday through Monday. The technologist must be proficient in both CT and X-ray modalities.
