Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Information

NOC (1900-0730) with rotating weekends

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required
• AHA ACLS and NIHSS required

Department Overview

The Medical Surgical unit is dedicated to providing care for acutely ill adults, including patients who require both emergent and elective surgeries. Our nursing staff delivers exceptional professional care, and we strongly encourage and support specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high standards of nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical unit
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Educate patients and their families on care plans and health management
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Additional Information

Specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing is encouraged and supported within the department to enhance professional development and patient outcomes.
