Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The Operating Room Registered Nurse will provide top-quality care in a dynamic surgical environment. This role involves working closely with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and support during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to deliver effective patient care.
• Monitor patient vitals and provide necessary interventions throughout procedures.
• Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a sterile surgical environment.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse with at least one travel assignment.
• Experience in C-Sections, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, GYN, and ENT for both pediatrics and adults.
• Current nursing license in the state of practice.
• Advanced certifications may be required based on specialty areas.

Unit Information

• Operating Room features 7 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1.
• Commonly used equipment includes Hana tables, trauma tables, and a variety of surgical instruments.
• The facility utilizes Paragon as its electronic health record (EHR) system.

Work Schedule

The position requires 10-hour shifts on specific weekdays, with designated call coverage to accommodate PTO for on-call staff.
