Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Position Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, ensuring the monitoring of telemetry equipment and administering necessary treatments.

Schedule

• Three 12-hour shifts per week (Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Charge RN shifts may be required as needed
• Float across all facilities may be required as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Pass an EKG exam during the onboarding process
• Utilize Rapid Response teams as necessary
• Administer blood products, manage peripheral line care, and start IVs
• Manage medications including Heparin, Insulin, and PCA
• Provide care using nasal cannulas and adhere to isolation precautions

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with EPIC software required
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
