Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Description

This is a 26-bed orthopedic, spine, and surgical unit dedicated to the care of postoperative patients. The unit specializes in orthopedic and spinal procedures as well as treatment for traumatic fractures.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to post-operative orthopedic and spine patients.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety at all times.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and health management.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience or training in medical/surgical, telemetry, and orthopedic/spine nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
