Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of nursing experience, including at least one travel assignment, and will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical environment.

• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Shift: Nights (7p-7a)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Years of Experience Required: 1 year
• Certification Requirements:
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 44
• Staff: 40
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:
  • 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both days and nights
• Nurse Aides: Yes, on a 1:8 to 1:10 ratio
• EMR System: Meditech (experience preferred but not required)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As needed
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
• Floating: Yes, to all acute care and cardiology units

Orientation

• General Orientation: 1 week (including EMR training)
• Floor-Specific Orientation: 2 days
