Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Room team. This position is responsible for delivering optimal patient care through the nursing process, ensuring individualized patient outcomes throughout the entire episode of care. The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families/caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to emergency room patients via assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as necessary.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cognitive and psychosocial needs specific to the patient population served.
• Engage families in the assessment, planning, and evaluation process.
• Maintain ongoing growth and learning within the field of nursing.

Qualifications

• Current NV RN license required prior to start.
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC or PALS.
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience.
• Prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment is required.

Additional Information

This role requires the ability to float to different units based on organizational needs, up to the nurse’s competency level. The schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays, and may require additional shifts during the scheduling period. The work environment is a fast-paced, extremely busy setting serving a wide geographic area.

The Emergency Room operates as a Level 2 trauma center with a high volume of patients. It features 80 ER beds and is part of a larger facility that serves as a critical healthcare resource for the community. Our advanced services include a comprehensive range of procedures utilizing state-of-the-art technology.
