Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing exceptional nursing care for a diverse patient population with a focus on MedSurg, particularly post-surgical patients, including those undergoing orthopedic and general surgery, as well as managing neuro populations.

Position Details

• Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
• Work Schedule: Full-time with 36 or 48 hours per week guarantees available.
• Weekend Requirement: Scheduling based on need; weekends may be required.
• Floating Requirement: Willingness to float to various locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Deliver care that addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols; monitor for side effects and overall effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately and promptly.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify pertinent issues and available resources.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty is preferred.
• Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
  • BLS certification via AHA required.
  • RN License in the state of employment or compact.

Patient Care

As a competent nurse in a similar clinical setting, you will be expected to practice independently while demonstrating awareness of relevant aspects of each situation. You will collaborate with other care providers to manage the clinical environment effectively and ensure high-quality patient care.
