Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU). This role involves providing comprehensive care for critically ill newborns and neonates in a fast-paced environment. The position requires strong clinical skills and a firm understanding of various patient diagnoses and treatments within the NICU setting.
Shift Details
- Available shifts: 4×12 hours (19:00 – 07:30) or 3×12 hours (with call).
- Weekend coverage: Every other weekend unless needs change.
- Float may be required to other NICU units or facilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to neonates requiring intensive care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to any changes in condition.
- Perform special procedures, including full body cooling and tracheostomy management.
- Utilize specialized medical equipment, such as ventilators, incubators, and feeding pumps.
- Document patient care and clinical observations using EPIC.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU II and III experience required.
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE.
- Active nursing license in SC.
- At least 1 year of experience with EPIC documentation system.

- Care for patients with conditions including:
- Abdominal wall defects
- Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE)
- Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS)
- Drug exposure/withdrawal
- Hypoglycemia
- Sepsis
- Tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF)
- Duodenal atresia
- Diaphragmatic hernia
- Urethral stenosis
- Myelomeningocele
- Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP)

- Jet Ventilator, HFOV
- Draeger Ventilator, HFNC, Bubble CPAP
- Alaris and Philips central
- B Braun and Infinity feeding pumps
- Atom Dual and GE Dual incubators
- Draeger Caleo and radiant warmers
- External shunt
- Ostomy management
