Polysomnographic Tech

Schedule: Night Shift, 12-hour shifts, Thursday to Saturday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Polysomnographic Tech to join our Sleep Disorders Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing patients and equipment for sleep disorder testing, monitoring polysomnographic activity, and documenting results according to established policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients for sleep disorders testing.
• Monitor polysomnograms and document findings per policy.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of sleep disorders, including abnormalities, movement arousals, and respiratory patterns.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty of sleep disorders.
• Current American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One (1) year of experience in sleep study activity.
• Current and unrestricted certification or registration as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or equivalent.

Holiday Expectations

Must be available to work 2 major holidays from the following options: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, along with 1 minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve.
