Ultrasound Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. This position is responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, particularly in pediatric cases with a focus on abdominal imaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ultrasound scans with precision and accuracy, ensuring high standards of quality.
• Prepare and maintain equipment, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Input patient data and examination results into the EMR system (EPIC).
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to perform pediatric scans effectively, particularly on abdominal cases.

Shift Information

This position requires commitment for an 8-hour shift, Saturday through Monday, from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. The role does not include on-call responsibilities, floating to other areas, or working on weekends. Holiday work will be scheduled as per requirements.

Miscellaneous Information

• Expect to handle an average of 45 to 56 cases per day across 4 rooms and using 4 ultrasound machines.
• Floor orientation will be provided for one week to ensure familiarity with the work environment.
• Black scrubs are required for this position.

Cancellation Policy

Please note that there is a cancellation policy in place. The organization reserves the right to cancel up to 2 shifts every 12 weeks or up to 3 shifts every 13 weeks without penalty.
