Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description:

Provide professional nursing care to patients adhering to established standards, practices, and healthcare techniques. Demonstrate competence in making professional judgments regarding patient care. Assist healthcare providers in the delivery of patient care and education. Actively participate as a member of the healthcare team to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Understanding of practical nursing principles and skills necessary for quality patient care and treatment, including examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures, medication effects, and patient education principles.
• Awareness of common safety hazards and precautions.
• Familiarity with office procedures and medical terminology.
• Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, and follow written and verbal instructions from physicians.
• Capable of reacting calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Adept at identifying and analyzing problems, prioritizing tasks, making confident decisions, and recommending effective solutions.
• Skilled in administering a variety of medications and treatments and utilizing various types of equipment for examination and treatment procedures.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

License/Certification/Registration:

• Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
• Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.

Experience:

• One year of nursing experience preferred.
