Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuroscience

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Neuroscience unit. The successful candidate will utilize the nursing process to provide exceptional patient care to individuals with neurological conditions and surgical needs.

Position Details:

• Role: RN
• Specialty: Med Surg / Neuroscience
• Number of Openings: 1
• Shift: Night / 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48
• Weekend Hours: Rotating
• Call Requirements: None

Unit Information:

• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
• EMR: EPIC

Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse will:

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Provide care for patients with stroke, seizures, multiple sclerosis, spinal conditions, and other neurological diagnoses.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and ensure adherence to patient rights and confidentiality.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the care provided by other direct care givers.

Qualifications:

• Required Certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in inpatient Acute care Med Surg and Neuroscience required
• Float Requirements: May be required to float within scope as needed
• Preferred Experience: Charge experience helpful but not required
