The Acute Respiratory Therapist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, providing high-quality respiratory care to patients across all age groups in a critical access setting.

Position Information

• Role: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Department: Respiratory Therapy
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every Other/As Needed
• Call Requirements: As Needed

Required Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum Years of Experience: 1+
• Preferred Skills: Experience in Emergency Room and Critical Care settings

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 25
• Equipment: Bipap/Cpap, Ventilators, Vapotherm
• EHR System: Meditech

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate assessments, diagnostics, and treatments to patients with respiratory conditions.
• Work independently, demonstrating strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Administer various forms of respiratory therapy and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
• Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards.

Dress Code

Scrub color is any; casual wear is not permitted.
