Acute Travel RN: Med/Surg

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Acute Medical/Surgical department. This position is critical in providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients demonstrating a variety of medical needs.

Position Overview

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Medical/Surgical
• Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Patient Ratios: 5:1 to 6:1
• Required Certifications: ACLS
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant clinical setting

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 225
• Equipment: Telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pump, Bladder scanner, Dynamaps
• EHR: Cerner

Patient Population

This position will involve caring for adult and geriatric patients aged 18 to 125, addressing a wide range of medical conditions.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a Medical/Surgical setting
• Skills:
  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
  • Ability to work independently and manage stressful situations

Additional Requirements

• Occasional floating requirements to similar units
• Adherence to professional dress code: Galaxy Blue scrubs (navy is also acceptable); maintain cleanliness of appearance and compliance with hygiene policies
