ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to patient care and demonstrate strong critical thinking skills along with the ability to work effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the ICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Unit Information

The ICU comprises 5 beds with plans to expand to a 10-bed unit. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 2-3:1, allowing for focused patient care and support.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU or critical care nursing
• Preferred Skills: Proficient in critical care nursing practices and patient management

Patient Population

The unit primarily serves adult and geriatric patients with various critical diagnoses, including DKA, CVA, cardiac issues, post-surgical care, electrolyte imbalances, and psychiatric emergencies.
