Travel RN – Med Surg/Post Partum Combined Unit

Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Med Surg/Post Partum Combined Unit. The ideal candidate will be capable of working within a dynamic healthcare environment, providing high-quality patient care for both medical-surgical and post-partum populations.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Monitor patient progress and vital signs, documenting any significant changes.
• Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding care plans and procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care and discharge planning.
• Assist in the transition of patients from medical-surgical care to post-partum care as needed.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage patient care in high-pressure situations.

Qualifications

• Current and valid nursing license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NRP certification required (may be obtained prior to start).
• A minimum of one year of experience in a medical-surgical nursing role.
• Ability to work nights as part of the rotating schedule.
• Experience with post-partum patients is preferred.

Additional Information

This position is a 12-week assignment with night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Candidates must be adaptable and comfortable working with both medical-surgical and post-partum patient populations.
