Acute Travel Registered Nurse (RN): Med/Surg

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Acute Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical/Surgical to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while delivering high-quality patient care.

Position Overview

• Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Rotating

Unit Information

• Department: Acute Medical/Surgical
• Trauma Level: 2
• Patient Ratios: 5:1 to 6:1
• Equipment: Telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pump, Bladder scanner, Dynamaps
• EHR: Cerner

Essential Qualifications

• Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a medical/surgical setting
• Required Certifications: ACLS, Michigan State License
• Must Have Skills: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients, ages 18 to 125

Dress Code

Scrub Color: Galaxy Blue (Navy is also acceptable). Fingernails should be kept clean and at a manageable length according to the Hand Hygiene Policy. Tattoos deemed offensive must be covered, and excessive jewelry is not permitted.

Additional Information

Orientation for new hires will occur bi-weekly. Candidates must be located 60 miles or further from the facility to be considered for this travel position. Housing recommendations are available upon request.
