Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care

Position Information

Join a dedicated team in a Progressive Care Unit, providing critical care to patients in need. This position offers the opportunity to work night shifts and requires expertise in handling critical care situations.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse will support the 24/7 Stepdown ICU, working with patients requiring advanced care. This role includes responsibilities related to monitoring patients on trachs, vents, and intravenous drips, as well as conducting EKG interpretations.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year experience in Critical Care
Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required
Ability to interpret EKGs

Position Details

Number of Openings: 2
Shift: Nights – 4×12, with hours from 7 PM to 7 AM
Guaranteed Weekly Hours: 48
Weekend Coverage: As needed
Float Requirements: Required upon request

Unit Information

Typical Patient Ratios: 4-6 patients per nurse
Standard Nursing Equipment: Available on the unit
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: EPIC

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tracheostomies, ventilators, and medication drips. We seek individuals who are team players and are committed to achieving positive patient outcomes through effective communication.

Additional Information

Standard expectation to work every other full weekend
Must be available to work at least one major winter holiday
Orientation will be provided on day shifts for night shift positions
