Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating expertise in acute care settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in a Medical-Surgical unit with telehealth capabilities, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with support staff, including Tele techs, charge nurses, Health Unit Coordinators (HUCs), and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).
• Float to all Medical-Surgical units and assist with ICU as needed.
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 during the day, 1:6 at night, and 1:4 for pediatric patients based on level of acuity.
• Conduct regular rounds with nurse management staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a Medical-Surgical acute care setting.
• Current certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts with a 36-hour guarantee and no cancellations.
• Must be flexible and capable of floating to various units as needed.
