Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. This unique position offers the opportunity to work in both an Acute Inpatient Unit and a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). The role provides a challenging and rewarding experience, allowing you to work with diverse patient populations, including those recovering from neurological injuries and surgeries in an acute setting, as well as elderly patients with a variety of rehabilitation needs in the SNF.

General Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered occupational therapy services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patients’ functional outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold organizational standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Active California state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility for licensure).
• Experience:
  • Preferred experience in neurological rehabilitation or acute inpatient care.
  • Preferred experience in geriatric rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility care.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of neurological disorders and evidence-based rehabilitation techniques.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Certifications: Current California OT license and CPR/BLS certification.

Work Schedule

This position requires 10-hour shifts, four days a week, including two weekends a month.

Additional Information

This role may involve floating to the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit as needed. Uniforms will be provided by the facility.
