Job Duties

The Observation Unit is responsible for the care of adult patients requiring additional observation to assess the seriousness of their conditions. This unit plays a crucial role in determining whether patients should be admitted to the hospital or safely treated and released home. The environment is fast-paced, with an average turnover of 20 to 27 patients daily and an average length of stay of about 27 hours. The unit operates with 24/7 provider coverage and caters to a diverse adult patient population, including those in emergency observation and admitted boarding.

Job Requirements

• Valid RN License (New York License ONLY)
• Two years of Med/Surg experience
• Telemetry experience required

• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• NIHSS
• ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
