Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment with the possibility of extension. This position requires a commitment to working every other weekend and holidays, with minimal to no requests for time off permitted.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a stepdown unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, utilizing telemetry and advanced critical care skills.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform IV starts and other necessary procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in a stepdown unit.
• Proven competency in intermediate to advanced nursing skills.
• Experience with telemetry systems.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• Familiarity with the Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience is desirable.

Additional Information

Royal blue scrubs are required for this position and will not be provided. Candidates who reside within 31-50 miles of the facility may be considered for a local rate; however, travelers living less than 30 miles from the facility will not be accepted.
