Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join our team on the Childbirth Center unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to adult women of childbearing age, ensuring safe and effective delivery and postpartum support.

Shift Details

• Night shifts available: Either 3×12 or 4×12 hours
• Weekend shifts required, unless stated otherwise in the posted schedule

Patient Ratios

• 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of labor and delivery experience required
• Unit accepts first-time travelers with a minimum of 3 years of L&D experience
• Certifications required: BLS and NRP
• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for laboring women
• Manage triage, labor, and delivery processes
• Support patients in postpartum recovery and mother-baby care
• Document patient care using the EPIC charting system

Floating Policy

• Floating within the hospital is required
• Floating to sister hospitals is not permitted

Work Environment

• The unit features 7 labor beds, 3 triage beds, 2 PACU beds, and 16 mother-baby rooms
• Monthly parking costs are approximately $85.15

Additional Information

• All staff must adhere to a maximum of one week of requested time off, with a requirement to work holidays
• Pending licenses will not be accepted
• Block schedules are not available unless stated otherwise in the posting
