Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Information

This position is for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for providing care in a dynamic maternity unit. The role requires a high level of expertise in managing labor and delivery patients, with the ability to respond to various situations in an effective and compassionate manner.

Shift Details

• Shift: 7A – 7P
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: 5-6 weekend shifts over a 6-week schedule
• Call Requirements: No scheduled call, but may require flexibility based on unit census

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: NRP, BLS, and Fetal Monitoring (must have completed intermediate and have current advanced certification)
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery, including couplet care and LDRP experience. Some NICU experience is preferred.

• Number of Beds: 16
• Patient Ratios: Per AWHONN guidelines
• EHR System: GE Centricity/Paragon
• Supervision: Reports to the Unit Supervisor
