Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our emergency department team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Manage patient care, including ER holds and coordinating with healthcare team members.
• Perform necessary procedures, including IV placement, medication administration, and patient monitoring.
• Collaborate with physicians and mid-level providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient information accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Participate in emergency department orientation and training programs.

Work Environment

The emergency department features:

• A total of 33 beds, including 25 adult beds, 8 pediatric beds, and 2 trauma bays.
• Support staff, including ED Technicians and in-house security.
• Capabilities for cardiac monitoring, along with respiratory support equipment.
• A collaborative environment with on-site physicians and mid-level providers.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIHSS, and PALS. (ENPC & NRP certifications are a bonus.)
• Previous emergency department experience is essential.

Shift Information

• Shifts include day, mid, and night options.
• Weekend work every third weekend may be required.
• Holiday coverage for two holidays required per year.

Additional Details

• Professional attire required; scrub colors designated as navy.
• Unit-specific orientation provided before independent functioning.
• No on-call or standby requirements.
