Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric ICU (PICU)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to critically ill infants and children, working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in the ICU setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient care and treatment plans.
• Document all patient interactions and procedures in compliance with established standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to discuss patient care and improve outcomes.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
• Educate families on care plans, discharge instructions, and ongoing care needs.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current state licensure.
• Minimum of three years of nursing experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is required.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including night and day shifts, as well as at least two holidays per year.

Schedule

This position requires flexibility in scheduling with a rotation between night and day shifts. The nurse will work 4×12-hour shifts, either from 19:00 to 07:00 or from 07:00 to 19:00.
