Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional care to critically ill children in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions, including vital signs and medications.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform interventions as required and advocate for the needs of patients and families.
• Float to Pediatric Medical/Surgical and Neonatal Intensive Care Units as necessary.

Schedule and Floating Requirements

• Work schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week, from 07:00 to 19:00.
• Weekend work is required on a variable basis.
• Participate in self-scheduling instead of mandatory block scheduling.

Patient Ratios

The expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 in the PICU setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of PICU nursing experience is required.
• Current and valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
