Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment. The ER accommodates an average of 100 patients per day, with a focus on various conditions, including trauma, cardiac, and neuro cases.

Work Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift
• 36-hour guarantee per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and compassionate care to all patients in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to document care and manage patient information.

Unit Information

• All private ER rooms with a total of 30 rooms, including a 6-room EDOU observation unit.
• 6 fast track beds supported by a physician assistant for minor non-urgent issues.
• One seclusion room plus five monitored rooms for patients requiring close observation.
• Level IV Trauma Center with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4.
• Support staff includes five technicians during peak hours.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC are required.

Additional Information

• Common patient types include trauma, cardiac, and neuro cases.
• EMR system used is Allscripts – Sunrise.
• Medication management through Omnicell system.
• Scrub color: any color except all black (scrubs not provided).
