Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients in the neuro intensive care unit. The ideal candidate will be committed to floating between various units, including other ICUs, Med/Surg/Telemetry, and Progressive Care units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive bedside care to patients in the Neuro ICU.
• Effectively coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and neurological status, adapting care plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Educate patients and families regarding conditions, treatments, and care procedures.
• Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg/Telemetry experience required.
• Epic experience within the last 18 months is required.
• Must possess a valid Tennessee or compact RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.

Work Schedule

This position requires a commitment to work three weekend shifts every four weeks and availability for holiday shifts.

Shift Details

Nights: 3×12-hour shifts (18:45 – 07:15)
